Fred Greenwood became interested in photography in 1976 after taking a photography mini-course in 7th grade.  He entered two images in a contest which won first place and the grand prize. He was his high school’s sports photographer in 1979.  He continued shooting film until 2005 when he purchased his first pro-level DSLR.  In 2005, Mr. Greenwood began working with models and continues working with models including pin-up, body-paint, fashion, glamour, boudoir.  Mr. Greenwood is an accomplished family, wedding, and high school portrait photographer.  He was the head photographer for two roller derby teams:  Pueblo Derby Devil Dolls (2007, 2009, 2010) and Pikes Peak Derby Dames (2007, 2008 to 2011).  Mr. Greenwood is a preferred photographer for events and has shot events as diverse as Lantern Fest, Galaxy Fest, Cosmic Con, Collector Con, Ink Jam, Rockabilly Expo, and Beats & Body Paint.  Mr. Greenwood is the preferred photographer for the private event, Front Range Body Art and has been the preferred event photographer at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center for several years.  Mr. Greenwood is known as one of the best belly dance photographers in the region.  Mr. Greenwood was the preferred photographer for Pikes Peak International Raceway from 2009 to 2015, including major events, such as SPEARS 100, Lantern Fest, and Champ Truck series racing.  Mr. Greenwood has been invited by event coordinators and car owners to shoot at car shows throughout the southern Colorado Region. 

Mr. Greenwood has been published in Speed News Magazine, NASA newsletters, FSJ magazine, and Peterson’s 4X4. various newspapers including Colorado Springs Independent, Colorado Springs Gazette, and Pueblo Chieftain.  His photography graces various CD covers, band t-shirts, promotional posters, and business cards, for artists from the southern Colorado region and beyond.  Mr. Greenwood was the preferred band photographer for The Senate of Pueblo, Colorado, from 2007 until the Senate closed in early 2014, where his art was on permanent display.  One of Mr. Greenwood’s photographs is on permanent display in the Sears Tower, Sears corporate headquarters, Chicago, IL.
